This Frosting is Chocolate with a hint of orange with the richness of cream cheese! My neighbor loves it so much that she stirs a heaping tablespoon in a glass of milk.

Equipment
1 Mixing Bowl Medium size
Ingredients
5TbspUnsalted ButterSoftened not melted
5TbspCream CheeseSoftened
1 1/2TbspPure Vanilla Extract
3 TbspHeavy Whipping Cream
DaSHSalt
1/3cup100% Chocolate Cocoa PowderSifted.
3cupsPowdered SugarSifted.
2TbspFreshly squeezed orangeI use the juice from one of the following oranges, Mandarin, Tangelo, Cutie. These have a nice flavor of orange.
Instructions
Sift together the Powdered Sugar, Cocoa Powder and set aside.
Add the Cream Cheese and the Unsalted Butter to a bowl and set aside to soften.
Once the cake has cooled for 50 minutes you are ready to mix the frosting.
Blend the Cream Cheese and Butter until it is smooth.
I use the hand mixer to blend the Cream Cheese and Butter.
Add the Vanilla, and Heavy Whipping Cream into the bowl with the Butter and Cream Cheese. Mix it in.
You will be incorporating the dry ingredients only 1/2 cup at a time. I usually fold this in with the butter cream cheese using a spoon so it doesnt spatter.
Add the orange juice and finish by using the hand mixer for the final blend.
Ice the cake and your ready to enjoy!
Notes
This frosting compliments the Moist Eggless Chocolate Cake recipe I have on this site.
