Easy Bacon Cups
Making a Bacon Cup that is fillable is quick and easy. For each bacon cup you will need thinly sliced bacon. To make 6 bacon cups you will need 18 slices of bacon. Don’t forget to place the muffin tin on a baking sheet with lipped edges to keep the drippings from making a mess out of your oven because of the bacon drippings.
Ingredients
- Bacon 3 slices for each individual bacon cup. The thin slices cook faster than thick bacon. The thick bacon would be more stable. If you use the thick bacon adjust your cook time.
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 390 Fahrenheit or 200 Celsius. Cook Time is about 20 minutes until nice and crispy. The rest time is 5-10 minutes.
- Take your muffin tin and turn it upside down
- Take 2 slices of bacon and cut them in half this will become the bottom of the cup
- Take the 2 halved slices and lay them on the bottom of the tin
- Take the other 2 halved slices weave in with the other bacon going in the opposite direction lay the other bacon on the bottom of the tin
- 1 slice is used to wrap around the base to create the sides of the bacon cup to secure it all together
- If is doesn’t quite reach fully around use a toothpick to close
- Bake in the oven until it is crisp about 20 minutes
- Remove from the oven and let stand for 5-10 minutes still on the tin, so it can firm up before removing from the tin.
