Delectably Chocolate Cream Cheese Croissants

Equipment

  • 1 Cookie pan It is best to use a non-stick cookie pan

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg Butter Flake Crescent Rolls
  • 8 ounces Cream Cheese, softened
  • 1/2j cup sugar
  • 1/4 tsp Ground Nutmeg
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup Nestles milk chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup Pecans chopped - optional

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to the temperature on the package of crescent rolls. Usually this is 375 to 400 degrees Farahaneit
  • Line a cookie pant with parchment paper. Lightly butter the parchment paper and set aside
  • In a medium sized mixing bowl add the cream cheese. Place in microwave for 15 seconds. Stir until smooth not melted. It may need an additioanl 10 to 15 seconds more. Then remove from microwave.
  • Add sugar, vanilla, nutmeg to the cream cheese and stir to blend
  • Add the chocolte chips
  • Add the pecans stir to combine all ingredients
  • Open the roll of crescents. Break them down into their 8 different pieces and spoon about 1 slightly heaping tablespoon onto each roll. Smooth it over half leaving the narrow 1/2 piece bare and roll up into a normal crescent.
  • Place on the parchment paper. Then prepare the other rolls until the remaining rolls are ready to bake.
  • Place in preheated oven and bake for 13 to 17 minutes or until the bottoms are golden brown.
